Dental Plans
Santa Barbara County Superior Court offers you two Delta Dental plan options. Both the Delta Dental PPO and the DeltaCare USA DHMO plans offer comprehensive dental coverage.
Dental Tip: If you are having dental work that will cost more than $300, it is recommended that you obtain a predetermination from Delta Dental. A predetermination is a pretreatment estimate. Your dentist will submit a proposed treatment plan along with x-rays to Delta. Delta reviews the treatment plan to be sure services are covered under your plan and calculates your cost. You and your dentist will receive an estimate of the cost that Delta will pay and the amount you will be responsible for. A predetermination will let you know that the work is covered, is needed and what you should expect to pay.

Vision Benefits
The optional Vision Service Plan (VSP) plan will be offered to all regular court employees. You will need to enroll in the VSP plan if you want comprehensive vision coverage including exams, lenses and frames.
VSP features a broad provider network with substantial access across the United States in a variety of settings. All VSP network providers are independent optometrists or opthalmologists in private practice who provide full service. You do have the option of using a non-network provider under the VSP plan, however, the benefit allowances are lower.
