Motion Quash Defendant’s Subpoenas

Attorneys

Daniel Torem for Plaintiff Barbara Carrion

Blake S. Posner for Plaintiff Broadspire Insurance

John Lauritsen for Defendants

Ruling: At the request of defendants Lauren Cooper and Richard Cooper, the hearing on this motion to quash defendants’ subpoenas is continued to April 6, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. Opposition and reply papers are to be filed as provided in the Code of Civil Procedure (counsel are reminded that March 31, 2020, is a court holiday). Counsel for defendants is to serve notice of this continuance.

Analysis

On March 9, counsel for defendants filed a declaration stating that a tentative settlement between the parties had fallen through because of which no opposition had been filed to the motion. The defendants requested that the matter be continued to April 6, 2020, so that timely opposition can be filed. This request is appropriate under the circumstances.
